Introducing Miroslav (Miro)

At 9 years old, Miro is the brains of the class!

Ever observant in his lessons, he is a quick learner and always the first to finish his school work.

Along with many of his school mates – when he grows up – he wants to be a footballer.

Miro and his sister, Geri were abandoned by their mother  who was unable to care for them. Neither one of them know the identity of their father(s).

Whilst still with their mother, both children were enrolled in to a school for the deaf but were later taken out of this establishment when social services took custody of them in the summer of 2015, placing them in to a shelter. Neither child had difficulty in hearing.

After what became a long process, brother and sister are now schooled at the New Generation Academy and are both a credit to their teachers.

Miro has made strong friendships with a group of his fellow students and has settled nicely in to his new surroundings.

Being such a gifted child, it is important for Miro’s education to continue as the majority of ‘shelter’ children do not excel without a good education which

leads to generational cycles of uneducated, poor Bulgarian communities, the children of which are vulnerable to human trafficking.

The shelter in which Miro lives is unable to cover his school fees so he must rely on the kind donations of others for his schooling to continue. We are constantly looking for good Samaritans who are able and willing to help those in unfortunate situations. Could this help come from you?
